Building color confidence
Company
Role
Overview
Sherwin-Williams set out to revolutionize the color selection experience for homeowners. As the lead designer on ColorSnap, I helped develop a product ecosystem that empowered users to build confidence in their color decisions—transforming how people shop for paint across digital, mobile, and in-store channels.
Challenge
For most consumers, the thought of painting is the thought of obstacles. The first roadblock is color. Consumers lack confidence in their taste, in what a tiny swatch might look like on four full walls, and whether the effort will be worth the outcome. This uncertainty created friction at a critical stage in the customer journey.
Solution
ColorSnap Visualizer was built to eliminate hesitation and turn inspiration into confident action. From augmented reality previews to photo color matching and palette recommendations, the experience made it easier for users to discover, visualize, and select paint colors.
